• Contact number: used so buyers can reach you via WhatsApp about a listing.
• Location: general city/area you provide, used to help buyers find nearby books.
• Listing details: information you submit when selling a book, including title, author, photos, category, price, and description.

2. How we use your information

• Create and manage your user account.
• Display your book listings to other users on the marketplace.
• Enable contact between buyers and sellers. When a buyer clicks "Contact Seller", the seller's contact number is shared so the buyer can reach them on WhatsApp.
• Improve the reliability, security, and experience of the platform.

3. Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party backend provider that hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase applies industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing of data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. The only information shared with other users is what is required for the marketplace to function — your public listings and, when a buyer initiates contact, your WhatsApp contact number.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use basic cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your session token. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

6. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at support@kitabpoint.com. We will remove your profile, listings, and cart data from our active systems.
