Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KitabPoint ("we", "us", the "platform"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What KitabPoint is

KitabPoint is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of used and old books. We provide the platform on which listings are posted and discovered. We do not process payments and we do not handle shipping or delivery. All transactions — including price negotiation, payment, meet-ups, and hand-over — are arranged directly between the buyer and the seller, typically in person or via WhatsApp.

2. Listings and seller responsibility

  • Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including title, author, edition, condition, photos, and price.
  • We do not verify the condition, authenticity, or accuracy of any book listed on the platform.
  • Buyers are responsible for inspecting a book and confirming it matches the listing before completing a purchase.

3. User conduct

  • Provide honest and accurate information in your profile and listings.
  • Do not post pirated, counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise illegal material.
  • Do not post content that is abusive, misleading, or infringes on others' rights.
  • Do not use the platform to harass other users or send unsolicited spam.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.

We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that violate these Terms.

4. Disputes between users

Because transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers, we are not a party to them. We are not responsible for disputes, payment issues, delivery issues, no-shows, or the quality and condition of any book exchanged through the platform. Users are expected to resolve disputes between themselves in good faith.

5. Account and content

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You retain ownership of the listing content you post, but grant us a limited license to display it on the platform in order to operate the marketplace.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the platform at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
